What is a tractor cruise?
The East Central Benefit Tractor Cruise is a fundraising event in which classic tractors drive along a pre-determined route, and enjoy lunch and dinner while the tractors are on display. Participants pay an entry fee and collect pledges in support of area charities.
What is required of participants?
Participants must remit the application with the required entry fee, have a tractor which meets the requirements of the ride, and collect pledges for sponsoring his/her ride.
What is included with my entry fee?
The entry fee includes lunch and dinner and an annual membership to the East Central Benefit Tractor Cruise Club.
Participants who do not wish to drive a tractor but would like to fully experience the tractor cruise may ride in a wagon along the route. Riders must remit the application along with a $30 entry fee, which includes lunch and dinner.
What about liability insurance?
The entry fee includes an annual membership to the East Central Benefit Tractor Cruise Club. Lliability insurance for the tractor cruise is included with club membership.
Where will we eat lunch and dinner?
Lunch will be available on the route. Dinner will be served by the Ripon FFA Alumni on the Heatley Farm at the end of the ride.
What if my tractor breaks down?
We will have a truck and trailer on hand for breakdowns, as well as a mechanic on duty.
Will fuel be available?
It is your responsibility to ensure that your fuel tank is full at the start of the ride. If your tractor cannot go the distance on one tank you may purchase fuel at the halfway point.
Parking will be available at the Jon Heatley farm and at Ripon Lime on Dartford Road.
